A Fond Farewell
Since the 1989 inception of the Fallbrook Chorale, two ladies have been an integral part of the success of our organization. They have helped bring beautiful choral music to the community of Fallbrook through their piano playing, singing and serving on our Board of Directors.
Orolie Gubser and Jean Dixon have decided to retire from active participation in our group. Although we are sad to let them go, we look forward to seeing them around. And, we will! We have presented Orolie and Jean with a Golden Forever Ticket to each of our future concerts!
Jean and Orolie, thank you for all you have done and best wishes to you both!

We were happy to present our summer concert for you on June 10 - America in Song!

Christmas Concert Review
In the midst of a challenging time for Fallbrook and the surrounding community, we came together and sang our hearts out.
We merrily celebrated Fruitcake and The Twelve Days of Christmas, took a raucous Sleigh Ride, and enjoyed the solemn and poignant rendering of favorites such as O Little Town of Bethlehem.
Solo performances included Christmas Waltz, sung by Pat Jones, I Wonder as I Wander, sung by Joan Simonek, and White Christmas, sung by Ann Frederick. Solo appearances were made by Bruce Summers and Beth Wiens Tichenor in Gloria, and Jack Janzen in I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
John Redford gifted us with a Christmas Medley on the organ.
The Harmonics Quartet (Matt Carlson, Ann Frederick, Jack Janzen, Kelly Bates) reviewed the season with Winter Wonderland.
The Minuets Ensemble (Vanessa & Don Hain, Jeannie & Patrick Hathaway, Barbara Jarnes, Pete Jespersen, Pat Jones, Conrad Lindberg, Beth Wiens Tichenor) donned Christmas aprons to complain about Fruitcake.
Other special appearances: Shakers and an Angelic Trio in Christmas Glory Hallelujah (Pat Jones, Madison Donoghue, Erin Flynn, Paula Brandt, Conrad Lindberg); Bells in Sleigh Ride (Vanessa Hain, Marsha Meers)
Special thanks to instrumentalists: Jennesea Fisher (oboe); Sharon Flemings, Kay Robinson (flute); Dora Tate, Jennifer Harper (clarinet); Elizabeth Montecelli, Kim Stephens-Doll, Rachel Leverenze, Juanita Jackson (violin); George Volkov (viola); Carolyn Sechrits (cello); Jim Wallace, Marjorie Principato (percussion).
The chorale was joined by the whole audience in a spirited sing-a-long, and, as ever, accompanied on piano by Jean Dixon and Patty Lang.
The whole concert was masterfully directed by Denny Lang.
Kudos!
The Fallbrook Chorale wishes
Peace on Earth and Good Will to All!

"My favorite was the Lullaby Carols...mesmerizing!"
"Why was the concert so short?"
Ed. reply: It wasn't short - time flies when you're having fun!!

Our June Concert - The Best of Broadway - was a huge success!
Although the whole concert was incredible, most comments that we received were about the Mary Poppins music! It was fun and nostalgic and the audience was pretty good at singing the word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" off the cue cards! (And, on pitch!)
The Age of Aquarius - Let the Sun Shine in!
Our Hippies: Pat Jones, Jeannie & Patrick Hathaway, Beth Wiens Tichenor, Barbara Jarnes, Don & Vaness Hain
(Mary Ann Ellis on Bass, Jean Dixon on the Piano)

Soloist: Ann Frederick (On My Own)

Over the Rainbow
and much more!
Previously...
The Fallbrook Chorale continued its tradition of inspiring Christmas concerts in 2015...last year's concert was an incredible production - arranged around The Many Moods of Christmas, conducted by Denny Lang.
Pieces ranged from the ridiculous (audience favorite Pat Jones singing on the Twelve Days After Christmas - whatever happened to those twelve Christmas presents?! - and the Minuets Ensemble singing Nutcracker Jingles) to the sublime (full chorale and orchestra opening with Joy to the World, and an inspiring version of Climb to the Top of the Highest Mountain). As in recent years, the concert ended with Peace, Peace, chorale members surrounding the audience with candles glowing in hopes of a peaceful year ahead.
The 2015 Christmas concert also featured soloists Ann Frederick The Birthday of a King and Joan Simonek Mary Had a Baby, Jean Dixon and Patty Lang in a piano duet A Medley of Christmas Music, John Redford on the organ with a Christmas Carol Medley and the Harmonics Octet Can You See the Light in Bethlehem?

On Saturday, December 13, 2014,
the Chorale presented
A Christmas Festival of Song!
For the first time ever, the Chorale was accompanied by a Chamber Orchestra!
From the opening notes proclaiming Joy to the World
to the final wish for Peace across the globe,
members of the chorale and guest musicians did their best
to entertain the audience and to bring Christmas cheer into their lives.
The Christmas concert once again included an awesome organ solo by John Redford.
The Angels in Disguise ensemble brought a Breath of Heaven!
O Holy Night and Silver Bells solos were sung by accomplished members of the chorale,
Joan Simonek and Pat Jones.
Other soloists included Kelly Bates, Ann Frederick, David Grout, Pete Jesperson
and Eric Peterson (vocalist, as well as on guitar)

On Saturday, June 7, 2014, the Fallbrook Chorale presented our Silver Anniversary Concert to a packed audience!
Featuring hit music from Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music and other great shows, the full chorale, as well as small ensembles, were rewarded by audience acclaim. The concert ended with a rousing rendition of "Edelweiss" by the audience, with choir backup! As they say, "A good time was had by all!"
Since 1989, the Fallbrook Chorale has continued a dream to be the "music makers" for the community. The chorale is a non-profit organization committed to bringing high-quality choral music to Fallbrook and the surrounding communities. The chorale rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm, at Community Baptist Church, Fallbrook, CA.
